Mexico: Draft Official Mexican Standard PROY-NOM-086-1-SCFI-2018 for tyres

 

Mexico has published its response to the comments on the Draft Official Mexican Standard PROY-NOM-086-1-SCFI-2018, Rubber industry-New radial construction tires for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight greater than 4,536 kg and diagonal construction tires of any load capacity-Safety specifications, test methods and commercial information.

The standard itself was published on August 28, 2019 and, after the adoption, will cancel its predecessor NOM-086-1-SCFI-2011.

The standard is relevant for: new radial construction tires over 10,000 lbs. (4,536 kg) gross vehicle weight Bias construction tires of any load capacity Temporary radial and bias construction tires used on cars, light trucks, vans, heavy trucks, tractor trucks, buses and trailers, which are marketed as final merchandise.
