China: New version of the GB standard for electric vehicles (GB 18384) published for comments
China has published a new draft version of the standard for electric vehicles GB 18384.
The document specifies the safety requirements and test methods for electric vehicles. It applies to electric vehicles with an on-board drive system whose maximum working voltage is voltage class B.
Compared with the previous verison GB 18384-2020, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:
– Modified the definition of maintenance disconnect device (see 3.2, 3.2 of the 2020 edition);
– Added term definitions (see 3.4, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8);
– Modified the requirements for high-voltage connectors (see 5.1.3.3, 5.1.3 of the 2020 edition). 3);
– Modified the maintenance disconnect device requirements (see 5.1.3.4, 5.1.3.4 of the 2020 edition);
– Modified the charging socket requirements (see 5.1.3.5, 5.1.3.5 of the 2020 edition);
– Modified the insulation monitoring requirements (see 5.1.4.2, 5.1.4.2 of the 2020 edition);
– Modified the capacitive coupling requirements (see 5.1.4.4, 5.1.4.4 of the 2020 edition);
– Modified the waterproofing requirements
– Modified the safety function protection requirements (see 5.3, 5.2 of the 2020 edition);
– Added the user manual requirements (see 5.11);
– Modified the vehicle insulation resistance test (see 6.2.1.2, 6.2.1.3, 6.2.1.2, 6.2.1.3 of the 2020 edition);
– Added the vehicle bottom protection requirements and verification methods (see 5.2, 6.3);
– Modified the power battery requirements (see 5.4, 5.3 of the 2020 edition);
– Added the barrier and shell pressure test method (see 6.2.6);
– Added the steady-state contact current test method (see 6.2.7);
– Added the same type determination (see Chapter 7);
– Added the B-level circuit high voltage mark dimension reference diagram (see Appendix A)
